Beginner Sewing Lesson

The beginner course Is a 2.5-3hr lesson where in the first 30min-45min  we go over learning the machine, practicing sewing straight lines and different stitches ,proper sewing etiquette, as well as a slight introduction to using a serger machine. In the remainder of the lesson we use what we learned in first section to create a tote bag. We usually tell people to either bring about 1 yard of fabric (preferably a denim or mid weight cotton material, something that a tote bag can be made out of) or an item they would like to upcycle (jeans work best) to create their tote bag. If you don’t have fabric to use  we have a few options you can choose from to get started. It’s recommended to bring your sewing set up for familiarity but if you don’t own one a machine can be provided.
